The 2018 Acura RDX

The 2018 Acura RDX is a compact luxury SUV that comfortably seats five people and is powered by a 2.5-liter V6 engine good for 279 horsepower and 252 lb-ft of torque. Coming standard on all versions of the SUV are luxury-focused features like a sunroof, leather-wrapped steering wheel, Bluetooth phone and audio, a seven-speaker sound system with satellite radio, Pandora Internet radio control, and heated power front seats.

In addition to that, there are three available option packages, depending on what aspect of the base vehicle that you wish to upgrade. AcuraWatch Plus adds a suite of driver assist features, Technology adds ELS audio, navigation, and sport seats, and Advanced bundles the two together and adds additional features. On the safety front, features like the lane keeping assist system, adaptive cruise control, and collision mitigation and warning helped the 2018 Acura RDX earn a five-star rating from the NHTSA.

2018 BMW X2

One new vehicle to appear in the compact crossover SUV segment is the 2018 BMW X2. Offered in two different trims, this vehicle has both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive available, like the 2018 Acura RDX. The turbocharged four-cylinder engine on both trims cranks out 228 horsepower, which is slightly less than the output of the Acura SUV.

On the interior, the BMW SUV comes standard with features like a rearview camera, power tailgate, and LED headlights. However, you have to upgrade to more expensive option packages like the Convenience Tier to gain access to keyless entry and SiriusXM Satellite Radio, two features that come standard on the 2018 Acura RDX.
