The one-of-a-kind Acura NSX Roadster from Marvel’s The Avengers is stepping back into the spotlight for its first public appearance in more than a decade—showing Friday, Aug. 15 at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, during Monterey Car Week. It’s part of Acura’s celebration of 35 years of the first-generation NSX.
A movie star with real Acura DNA
Created specifically for filming, the NSX Roadster’s styling was inspired by the second-generation NSX Concept shown in 2012 and designed at Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles under then-Creative Director Dave Marek—complete with the famous “STARK 33” plate. Beneath the bodywork, it rides on a first-generation NSX chassis.
Built by Trans FX in Oxnard, California, the car features a hand-crafted resin and fiberglass body, a 2-inch suspension drop, 18-inch wheels, and aftermarket seats.
Where to see it in Monterey
Acura will display the NSX Roadster at The Quail alongside landmark NSX models—1995 NSX-R and 1999 Zanardi Edition—as well as the all-new RSX Prototype, previewing the brand’s next-generation all-electric premium performance SUV.
What’s next: a 2026 charity auction
Acura plans to auction the NSX Roadster for charity in 2026 and will begin taking hand-raisers during Monterey Car Week for those interested in a chance to bid next year.
