How to Setup Apple CarPlay®

To equip your Acura with Apple CarPlay® you should have an iPhone 5 or later version, and make sure to be in an area around Ascension that supports CarPlay. Open your iPhone and go to Settings where you’ll find the Siri & Search tab. Turn Siri on and then you can follow these steps on how to setup Apple CarPlay® in your Acura sedan or SUV below:

1. Plug your phone into the CarPlay USB port, which should be labeled with the CarPlay logo.
2. If your car supports a wireless Bluetooth® connection, go to Settings > General > CarPlay > Available Cars and select your car.
3. Start your car and leave it running.
4. Ask Siri for what you need by either pressing and holding the Voice Control button on your steering wheel or touching and holding the CarPlay Home button on your touchscreen until Siri appears.

How to Setup Android Auto™

If you’re a Ascension driver with an Android phone, you’ll need a phone running on Android 5.0 (Lollipop), or a more recent version like Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) which has been known to work best. Once you’re ready, follow these quick steps to connect Android Auto™:

1. Turn on Android Auto in your car’s settings.
2. Download the Android Auto™ app from Google Play. When you plug your smartphone into your car with the compatible USB cable you’ll receive a prompt to download the app.
3. Unlock your phone’s screen.
4. Review the Safety Information and Android Auto™ permissions.
5. Turn on notifications for Android Auto™.
6. On your vehicle’s display, select Android Auto™.
